My Track Record
A selection of projects I completed successfully:
Assignment: We're switching to the new SAP release. Please make sure test coverage is established.
Procedure: I developed a test concept for the project that defines a clear hierarchy, processes and responsibilities. As a result, I made myself obsolete: everything that landed on my desk was handled through the process.
Result: The release switch – a project with hundreds of people involved – was not only completed on time. No major crises occurred along the way.
Assignment: Please introduce testing to our IT department.
Procedure: Working closely together with the teams, I introduced different procedures on how to integrate tests into their way of working.
Result: As everybody could proceed like how it fits best for them, processes were accepted easily which reduced the bugs in production to almost 0.
Assignment: Help us with our Automation.
Procedure: Together with the customers team, we put the code base to a healthy state. For this, I introduced new standards, refactored plain JavaScript to TypeScript and parallelized the tests.
Result: Not only the tests provided more and more helpful data for all stakeholders. The Build Time was cut in half which sustainably increased acceptance for the tests and the development of new features.
Assignment: Help us with Testing & Compliance
Procedure: Looking at Process & Requirements as whole I found duplicates in documentation and way of working. As well I connected open ends and made the process sleek. Now, every task has to be done only once.
Result: By reducing duplicates, with every quarterly release the client saves a lot of time. Also, bugs are found earlier. The customers Quality Management department is happy as well: Complaints have dropped to almost 0.
This is me
I’m Max. For over 10 years I’ve been finding bugs that cost real money.
Software has interested me since I was a child and since those days I’ve had a talent for finding vulnerabilities and bugs in programs. Neither the PIN in the TV nor the router were safe from me.
I had great respect for mathematics at university. Nevertheless, at some point I managed to persuade myself to study computer science.
Which of course raises a question: Why did I go into quality assurance in the first place?
The story is quickly explained: as a working student, I was once bought in to support a project and impressed with my performance. The company wanted to keep me on, so they were looking for a suitable position. As luck would have it, it was in the software testing team.
I was initially a bit unfamiliar with the role because I actually saw myself as a developer, but it quickly became clear to me that I could bridge the gap between engineering and management with my communication skills.
This is now my service: Mapping the requirements of one side to the wishes of the other. In doing so, I proceed with empathy and always strive for the solution that reflects the needs of all project participants. Because only a process that suits everyone will be lived consistently.

There is no such thing as "too early" in quality assurance. The earlier we start, the more time we can save at the end. The best time to start with quality assurance was yesterday. The second best is today.

A legitimate question! I have more than 10 years of experience looking into a wide variety of companies. If there is a problem somewhere, I am sure to have an idea why that might be. And a solution - it's very unlikely that a problem is occurring for the first time :)
Can't we do this ourselves by hand?
That's a fundamentally bad idea - not because it's not possible, but because it's not your core competence. Your time is better invested in other areas. I bring the skills and tools for precisely these tasks and work with you to implement a setup that you can sustainably maintain yourself. But the "scrubbing away" should be done by someone who has the time to do it.
